Cornell’s Jewelers a third-generation family-owned jewelry store is looking to hire an Inventory Receiving Specialist. The Inventory Receiving Specialist is responsible for all incoming inventory and maintaining all inventory on hand, including pricing updates and tag refreshes.
Responsibilities •Answering the back door for deliveries and ensuring coverage at all times •Opening all incoming packages and recording the information including tracking # in the receiving log •Inspection and Quality Control of all merchandise •Receipt of stock, memo and trunk merchandise into EDGE POS system properly: oEnsuring items are matched to PO’s where applicable oResponsible for consistent accurate item descriptions oResponsible for appropriate tag information oResponsible for hi res image oConfirming that item quantities are correctly entered oItem cost is matched to Vendor invoice for reconciliation with Quickbooks oFollowing markup guide when pricing items •Printing and tagging received merchandise properly •Regularly review prices to be sure they are current; Process changes and retag in a timely manner • Preparation and Quality Control for outbound shipping •Assist in biannual physical count of all store inventory •Break down incoming boxes and bring to dumpster daily to maintain an orderly work space •Acts as backup for Inventory Purchasing Specialist functions •Qualifications o Strong eye for detail and catching mistakes o Basic Excel capabilities o Retail experience and/or knowledge of fine jewelry products preferred o Growth mindset – ability to adapt o Able to collaborate effectively with team members to get projects done o Capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of detail o Highly organized and able to prioritize to meet deadlines •Job Type: Part-time •Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour •Expected hours: 25 per week •Schedule: Monday to Friday •Work Location: In person
