Jack, inspired by Michele's birth, began designing watches using Michele as the brand name. Michele herself developed a nose for watches at an early age. Her family vacations, a mixture of pleasure and the family pursuit of watches and local treasures, took her to all corners of the map. Her father's obsession for watches didn't allow the family to walk a block without frequent stops in jewelry and watch shops. Geneva, the home of Michele's grandmother, and second home for the Barouh's, was where Michele first realized the importance of detail and design.

Impressed by her early experiences and influences, Michele chose Art History and International Relations as a dual major at Tufts University. Wanting to pursue her interest in the arts and her desire for some business exposure, Michele continued at the Sotheby's Institute in London and was granted a Master's Degree in Business of Art. After four years at Tufts and two years in London, Michele returned to Miami anxious to become the company's third generation. Her education, exposure to the watch world, and love of design were ready for the real world. Two years after Michele's arrival, she has taken on the title of Director of Creative Development.
